TCS celebrated 20 years of being a public listed company on 25th Aug 2024. It is a great occasion for all Fortess members to celebrate the milestone in a unique way.
For the last 10+ years, 14 Trees Foundation, a non-profit NGO, has been active in reforestation of barren patches of land near Pune. 14 Trees has been instrumental in developing a highly scalable model for ecological restoration which can be replicated anywhere in the world. The model is designed to promote biodiversity, reduce environmental pollution, prevent climate change and foster growth of indigenous species of flora and fauna. Incidentally, many eminent Fortess members have been associated with 14 Trees for the last couple of years. Many senior members and dignitaries have visited the project site and planted trees. Many have gifted trees to their colleagues, mentors, friends and family members. The photographs of the Fortess stalwarts along with names of trees planted by them are compiled below.
The idea of creating Fortess grove came up for discussion in previous two Fortess meetings with 14 Trees
Since then Dinanath Kholkar has taken initiative to socialize the concept among fellow Fortess members. The idea is to adopt a barren patch of land and transform the land piece into a forest through crowdfunding from interested Fortess members. A beginning has already been made through planting of trees in the name of TCS stalwarts. There is big potential now for expanding the current area by inviting more Fortess members to join.

Cost of supporting a trees is Rs 3000/-; You can sponsor any number (1, 2, 3, 10, 14, 50 or more) of trees. Contribution will be used to plant trees on 14 Trees Foundation Land (in village Vetale, Pune);
Cost of supporting a tree is Rs 1500/-; You can sponsor any number (1, 2, 3, 10, 14, 50 or more) of trees; Contribution will be used to plant trees on Public Land (gram panchayat land near Pune)
